GED

GED

Developed by Pearson, GED or General Educational Development test is a very popular high school equivalency test.  This means that passing the GED exam is equivalent to graduating from a US high-school. For this reason, GED is a very popular test for students who wish to take a fast-track to university as well as for working adults who have not graduated from high school but wish to start pursuing further studies.

The test consists of 5 sections - Reasoning through language arts (Reading), Reasoning through language arts (Writing), Mathematical reasoning (Maths), Science, and Social Studies.

This is the general format of the test (New online test starting in 2014 is computer-based and may vary slightly in the format. The content for all sections are the same nevertheless).
